All I Want for Christmas...
Ok, so Lauren decided the other tooth needed to come out too. Then today she was talking about another one being very loose also. I told her at this rate, by next week she will be back to eating baby food. =)

Busy Week!
End of Summer
Here's a few pictures from Labor Day weekend. We spent Saturday as a "fun" day- we took the kids to the zoo, and then Monday was a work day. We wanted to keep it fun for the kids, since it was still a "holiday", so we decided to give them a quarter for each job they did, and then that evening we took them to the Dollar Tree to spend their money (they each earned $2) ... this kept them out of trouble, and helped us too! Jamie was able to get the pool all closed up, and the gutters cleaned out, and I was able to mow the lawn, and get the garden harvested.
Pics at the zoo:

James "helping" mow the lawn.
I am not into canning, but I did freeze the tomatoes as sauce (tried out a new recipe for roasting them and then pureeing), cooked and froze the beets, and used the carrots for baby food.

I'm always so sad to see summer go (especially the pool!), but at the same time glad to get back to a more "normal" schedule of school!

Two Weeks Old!
Kendra is 2 weeks old today... and since her umbilical cord finally fell off yesterday, she got her first tub bath today. She did really well, even seemed to enjoy it for the most part- except for when she got cold afterward.

Other than that, not too much else is new... just settling in and getting used to having a baby again...and realizing again just how time consuming a baby is! I figured out that I spend 6 hours a day on feeding and diaper changes alone!! (and that doesn't include nighttime feedings!)... of course after a few months, feeding shouldn't take as long, but for now, its about all I can do just to get the basics done! By the time I've fed/dressed the kids and myself, tidied up the rooms and kitchen, and started a load of laundry, its already time for lunch, and then I am ready for a nap with the kids! After that I might get one or two things done, and then its time to start supper, or get ready for whoever is bringing it (a huge help!!)..... but still its so worth it and I wouldn't trade this time for anything... just trying not to get overwhelmed, but take it one day at a time. =)

Kendra Marie
For those family and friends who don't already know... Kendra Marie is here! She came a little earlier than expected- the C-section had been scheduled for April 20th, and she was born April 15th. She weighed 6 lb., 1 oz., and was 19 inches long. Here are a few pics from the hospital...

Very proud siblings =)
